More than 1.5 million shelter animals are euthanized a year according to the ASPCA. and are at a 3 year high.  Roughly 3.3 million dogs and 3.2 million cats find themselves in a shelter every year.  about 670,000 dogs and 860,000 cats are euthanized every year. And shelters are overloaded. We support a no-Kill shelter approach and are fighting to help save as many animals as possible. But it costs money and takes a long term commitment to make a change.
